One Wake Cary Assembly
ONE Wake will host an early session with candidates for Cary Town Council to discuss the need for more affordable housing, and to hear their reactions to our proposal to create a Penny for Housing initiative.
This new initiative would be based on similar programs that have created local funding streams and supported the construction or preservation of hundreds of housing units in other Triangle communities like Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, and Apex.
The following candidates have confirmed so far:
– Jennifer Robinson [i] (District A)
– Carissa Johnson (At-Large)
– Jack Smith [i] (District C)
– Amanda Murphy (District C)
ONE Wake is a non-partisan organization that does not endorse candidates or political parties. We are glad to work with anyone who supports our grassroots agenda.
